HaPPY #5 PeYteR!!!

Yesterday I said "Peyt, I can't believe you are going to be 5 tomorrow!!" and he said "Mom, I'm still 4 when I get out of bed." So I asked when does he turn 5 then and he said "at my party with all the people!!!" So cute! I seriously can't believe we have a 5 year old! Time really goes by too fast and I wish we could just pause it for a minute. He is so much fun and is always asking us so many questions. Peyt has a great love for life, especially Golfing with his dad, working at his "job site", swimming, playing with Drew and cuddling with us to get him out of going to bed :)

Well YAY for such a fun day!!! First, Peyton USUALLY sleeps in till about 8:30. NOT today! He was so excited for his Birthday, he woke up just before 7. He came out to find his truck filled with presents. He had asked for a "worker man" Birthday, so I thought it'd be fun to fill his work truck with his "work" presents...and...

Well our swimming fun ended there...when the lightning and rain started coming down! Didn't stop the fun though :)

Seriously what a fun day!!! Peyt is so lucky to have so many people that love him and came to make his day that much better! How funny! We were trying to think of places we got pics taken...looks like they moved the bench and we didn't even know! haha

ANYWAY...yay for a little weekend away with just the two of us (Thanks to Grandma Julie and Grandpa Steve). We started out Friday night kinda late, but still went and grabbed some dinner at the Blue Iguana...which was yummy!

The cool stairway...We were laughing cause we felt like we really could have been in Mexico~! and loved all the cool stuff!
Then to Gateway and a few little errands and went to see the view for a quick second, it was raining!

After a morning at the temple, which ended up being awesome. We were 5 minutes late for a session, cause we didn't know they did them on the hour. But even better because we got to go sit in the Celestial room, the same place we sat 7 years ago and then were able to do Sealings, the same experience(almost) we had 7 years ago too! It was awesome and brought back so many great memories and feelings! Love you sweetie!!
Off to the pool! WE lucked out and got a hotel with an outdoor pool...yea for us!
It REALLY was like a out of state Vacation...we got to get a rental car while our car got a full day of service...so here we are...well on our way to return it.
and to see this movie...we hadn't even heard of it...but we still laughed a lot and enjoyed it!
I SWEAR this was Tysons idea!! After a yummy dinner we went to walk around...and just do some picture taking I guess. Way to be creative Tys! haha

mmmm.....we had the yummiest breakfast too! Fresh raspberries GALORE! Well, lots of other fruit, but we were loving the raspberries! Yummy omelets, french toast, and hashbrowns!! You have to try a little of everything at a Buffet, right?!?
We decided to just chill for a minute...my cute honey!!!

And then we were off...to come home to see our cute boys!!! We missed them, but loved a little time to just ourselves and are glad we have our anniversaries for the best excuse! We have gone to a couple other places to celebrate, but think going to Salt Lake was one of the best ideas, no flights, long traveling and we still had fun and felt like we were somewhere completely different! Loved it! Can't wait for next year! :)

SuMMeR has BeGuN!!!

Maybe you wouldn't agree because of this crazy weather, but we DID get our first sunburns yesterday so I call it official! :) I didn't have my camera out ALL day, until the winding down of our fun... We started out with yummy lettuce wraps and pizza for lunch, the kids were in the pool from like 1 till after 6!!! They are all little fish and LoVe it! Then we decided everyone might as well stay for dinner, so we cooked up some food, ate and then had fat boys and Smore's. What a fun day! Love spending time with family and seeing these cute chocolate covered faces!






Drew wanted one of just him, he kept saying "Mom, cheese, mom cheese!!!" So cute!

Thanks mom for letting us all stay and spend your day off with you! haha It was fun and we are glad Grandma and Grandpa have a pool so we have an excuse to get together and just relax, chat and watch the kids have fun!

AND I forgot about this cute picture! We got to have Tate come play the other day. Him and Peyt have been friends practically since they were born. Since both of their dads are in Construction and love sports (they actually played baseball together in High School) Peyton and Tate love to do those same things too! They played together all day wanting to do the exact same things. It's so fun to see little friends interact and their hilarious conversations. Love it!

MeMoRiaL DaY FUN...!

Well, the first few are from Grandma Julies on Sunday where we celebrated Kay's Birthday and got to spend time with family.

Then onto our traditional Swimming at Grandmas for Memorial Day... I think this is the first year it was actually a decent temp outside to swim, it's usually raining or freezing! So we lucked out!

Everyone was going to hit balls but Tys had told Peyt he might take him to golf yesterday so when they got to the course to hit balls, Peyt said he was tired of "pretend golf" and wanted to "REAL golf" CUTE! So off they went to play 9 holes. He wants to be JUST like his dad! Love it!

What a fun day! It didn't end till about 9 after some of our party stayed to play Wacky 6 and have treats and dinner. Thanks mom and Bruce for such a fun day and yummy food!!! Love getting to spend the time with so much family! Hope you enjoyed your Memorial Day too. :)
