4th of JuLY FuN...ALL weekend!!!

Our ACTUAL 4th of July...

Going to church...with the most festive ties I could find...can you tell Peyt hates getting his picture taken and Drew is just lovin' it?? haha

Then we went to Grandma Julies for some yummy food and Fireworks. The boys loved it! They would both say "That was Awesome!!" and Drew would just stare, mouth wide open watching. CUTE.

Not EXACTLY sure what Tay is doing...but at least he'll probably know. :)
And the pyros (sp?) taking care of lighting the fireworks for us!

Thanks for another fun day! Can't wait to celebrate some more! :)

YEA for our favorite holiday and making it a million times better getting to celebrate it for 3 DAYS! Here's the first of our fun...
Peyt got to have another sleepover in the tent, but so Drew didn't miss out, we all watched a movie in there and THEN took him to bed. No work on Saturday..so sleeping out worked great!
Us waiting for the Kaysville Parade to start...

Then we had lunch and swimming with our Friends...
Peyt layed on the couch and didn't last even 2 seconds...he was OUT!
While Drew was still napping....Peyt played and played...this is his "boat" ...CUTE
Then grandma let him jump while the sprinklers were on...he said he left the life jacket on to keep his shirt dry. It worked :)
More sprinkler fun
Helping Grandpa find the sprinkler problem...
He's proud of his "hard work"
Then off to the Kaysville Fireworks...!
Drew thought having a football in his shirt like Porter was hilarious
Enjoying a snow cone
Cute little buddies!
The girls came up to Tys and said "Can we get on your shoulders and walk around singing "Party in the USA?" and that they did! I'm waiting for Tyson to say how sore he is! haha
LOVE FIREWORKS!!!!!!!!!
Our ThoMpSon Friends joined us for the FiRewoRks too!
Brothers that couldn't stop laughing...love it!

and Sum with her cute family!

There's our first day of fun, I figured if I didn't get it out of the way...then I'd have way too many pictures to upload after Monday. SO ENJOY! :)

THe best THursday...

in July...so far.... haha

We took our very first Front Runner ride to Salt Lake!
and then met up with some friends to play in the fountains at Gateway

Peyton asked for a pillow....because I USUALLY do carry a pillow everywhere I go...haha I think someone was a little too tired...
Our little buddy Hagen, his mom and sister missed the front runner and he was bummed, so he rode it home with us to get his fix in.
Peyt and Drew listening to Hagen tell them all about the train and what it was carrying...they believed anything he'd say. Cute.
Just making themselves at home
Love Drew's face!

Thanks Linds for thinking of such a fun day and for inviting us!

Then we were off to our sibling/spouse date night! So fun!
Don't worry, Jill was prepared for entertainment and snacks for our drive down...haha
THEN all 9 of us(adults) crammed into one 8 passengar vehicle to save from having a 3rd car in SL. Cutler met us there and then we could finally space out a little :) Oh and Dave(Jills alternate date) is missing to get our name in for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory...which was like an hour wait so we settled for California Pizza Kitchen instead, which was still yummy, especially since we still treated ourselves to Red Velvet Cheesecake for dessert :)
Thanks Cutler for planning it...and thanks for at least allowing your shoe to be in the picture!! haha
About ready to watch Eclipse... I didn't really love this one...kinda getting bored of the same repeat story. Oh well, couldn't ask for better company and fun TO accompany the excuse to go and enjoy time together, a late night, laughs from memories and random chatting on our drive and during dinner!
AND we came home to find this fun! Grandma and Grandpa had watched most of the kiddos...they got to have a fire pit, watch movies outside and sleep in the tent!!! What lucky kiddos to have such fun grandparents and cousins to enjoy all the fun together!!
Thanks mom and Bruce!!! I'm sure they loved it!

So there is for our Best Thursday fun so far...haha :) Now on to celebrating a long weekend with 4th of July festivities!!!

PS...we did miss you Nate, but think it's awesome you got to see a couple escape in a helicopter AND Erin and Jason, missed you two, hopefully one day we'll get to enjoy you two on a date night!!! :)

Learning moments...

Realizing that not only are these two cute boys so much easier and less stressful when they look like this...haha...BUT that they aren't going to stay this little for very long. I already can't believe we have a 5 and 2 year old, but to know soon enough they won't want to come climb in our bed and cuddle...and then I'll miss those days. So to enjoy them while they last...

and how much it means to have Grandparents there who take the time to play with our boys. Sacrificing time being spent with the rest of us outside to entertain Peyt and Drew...because all they wanted to do was be playing in the play house. GREAT Grandma Carol was missing for a good half hour and this is where we found her.

Again, knowing as always, how important family is. What would I do without their constant energy and entertainment...if I wasn't running around picking up messes all day, making a meal, watching Peyt become a pro at the Wii :) or just getting to cuddle with our boys while reading a book.

To never forget great memories with friends...a fun over-nighter!

And to realize how important true friends are...as we've moved from neighborhood to neighborhood, the ThOmPSons are some of our greatest friends we've had since CLEAR back almost 7 years ago. We lived in the same ward in our first year of marriage. We couldn't ask for better friends to have kept in touch with that never forget a Birthday, are great listeners, and even better...partners in doorbell ditching crimes!! haha
So thanks Heath and to your cute little family for being our friends for all these years! Even better we had our boys almost the same time unplanned and that they get to be best little buddies! I love all the memories we've made and hope there is only so many more to come! :)

and watching the husband I chose 7 years ago, become a wonderful dad, great provider and such a hard worker to provide for the things that we need. He doesn't get near enough credit. Love you!

Life just goes by too fast, so I have to stop and take a minute to use some of these opportunities to learn and know they are times we won't get back :)
