Touched by our Grandma Kay...

Tonight we made the much over due time to go see Tysons sweet Grandma. I cannot even look at this picture without my eyes watering. She was just not herself, she is a person that is always happy to see you. We have been SO fortunate in our families to not have the death of a close loved one. We have seen Great Grandparents pass on, but for some reason this situation seems much different and more difficult. Although we still have our Grandma Kay here, we are afraid she is passing slowly. She has been such a wonderful person since the day I met her. Always there with open arms and a loving smile. Trials have not been invisible to her, "she has gone through more than her share of troubles and difficult times and then some", as Grandpa Dennis put it tonight. As we visited with her tonight, I could not help but feel such a tremendous love for her as she layed there in a blank stare. Drew was so cute to tell her he loved her and give her a kiss, while Peyton was a little more shy. They drew her pictures of turkeys that said "Happy Thanksgiving" and she loved them. After they had left the room I gave her hug and made sure she knew just how much we really love her. She said some very kind things and then with tears streaming down both of our faces, she asked me not to cry and to just be happy...be happy...be happy...she repeated over and over and then said to please just love eachother. She cares about each of us so much and those are the only things that matter, when she passes, she wants us to remember the most important things. That is just what they are. To love eachother and to be happy. I realized that is just what the Savior wants for us too. She is right. We love her so much and only hope to blessed with her in our lives even longer. I told her if she needed anything to let me know, that I would love to come paint her toes and fingernails for her...she told me "I don't need that, because I'm going to heaven..."
