GiRL's TRiP!

So probably just over a year ago, I put a shout out on fb for a needed girls getaway. Holly and Jamie were two of the replies. So we headed down to SL for our first getaway! Since then we have always talked about going somewhere longer.  We did Park City last year too and had also claimed ourselves "the craft group" but have still only done one craft. haha We are pretty sure you can count dinners, yogurt runs, GNO's, bachelor watching and whatever else as a craft, so we do. ANYWAY. So lucky for us, Holly invited us along to her parents beach house on Balboa Island. We found great deals on airfare, booked it and were on our way a couple months later! So here is Jamie and I heading on the plane!
Jen and I scored this cute room! The beds were SOOO comfy btw!
 Walking the Island!
I had to take this pic for Drew...BYU fan!
Couldn't have said it better myself!
This was the only pic I got of her parents house for some reason. but it is beautiful! Ps gotta love the behinds of Jen and Melissa :) haha
Heading in the electric car on the ferry.  It was hilarious trying to fit in it, trying not to fall out, and laughing so hard as people passed us on the road when we could barely push 27 mph! haha

We had hardly any company our first day at the beach.
Soooo perfect! We even got to watch dolphins swimming and diving in the waves!
We went seashell hunting one morning. They found a star fish so I told Holly to pick it up for a pic. Well, it was dead! Can you see she held onto some of it while the rest dropped?! ICK!
 Take 2! haha
Oh just another day at the beach for hours...chatting, laying out, snacking...simplicity.

Last day at the beach...It was so fun. I miss it already and haven't even been home for 12 hours.
Walking the island so I made them stop for one last pic. I seriously can't tell you how much I love EACH of these chicas.  I was SO excited to go, then the night before I got nervous...leaving my kids is always hard. This was my first real long trip without tys away from my family.  I can definitely say it was the best thing I did. I needed it more than I knew!!!  Amazing friends, so much inspiration (seriously), delicious food with every bite, relaxing, time for ME, laughing, talking, shopping, laughing harder and even more, late nights, no sleep, getting barfed on on the plane, learning, living, enjoying, growing, letting myself open up, bonding, friendships like these I guarantee are hard to find. Thanks to Holly for the invite/planning and helping me fill my cup and thanks to my awesome hubs for making me go! :)
