Jaxson and Kinsey invited the whole family up to Kinsey's family cabin, to be together for the weekend.
We woke up to this Saturday morning!!!
The kids were ready to play ALL day in the snow!
For grandmas Birthday, Sadie made her favorite cake. Carrot Cake. We sang to her and each shared something we missed, loved or remembered about her. I know there was no greater gift we could give her than to be together. She always wanted that and it meant the world to her when she had her family all together. We were only missing Tay! It was cute to hear the kids and their questions. I think it was Madi, she said "I think if Grandma could, she would wanna tell us how much she loves us and misses us." Or something like that. That's what I saw cause some teary eyes. It's true!
Steve wanted to let balloons go for her, to send up to heaven. The kids LOVED writing a note to grandma.
Balloons sent to heaven! Happy Birthday Julie! I really feel she isn't too far away. That she can see her grandkids still, and enjoy them just like she loved to when she was healthy and happy. They were her greatest joy! I know they will still have some kind of relationship with her or her with them and she wont be missing precious moments like these.
Snowmobiling, sledding, snowball fight. So much fun! We had to finally get Madi and Peyt to come in so we could eat and head home. They probably would have played all night!
Oh, you can't see this, but Steve worked on an awesome Igloo all day! It was way cool!
Miss Kinlee only lasted outside for a few minutes every time. So we spent most the day inside.
Thanks to Jax and Kins for getting us all together for such a special day!
