Start of Christmas fun!

This was just Kinlee being silly! :)
On Tuesday night Peyt had his program.  It was so cute. I can't believe it, but their teacher made all these elf costumes!
His letter was "L" and his part was "L is for the many lights that are hung each and every year, lighting the houses at night, knowing Santa will soon be near" He did such a great job! Love that boy!
And Grandpa and Carston came to watch!
AND Grandma Debbie!  Peyt loved having an audience there for him. It was cute.
Peyt with one of his best buddies, Jaxon.
We had our annual Love Christmas party at Golden Corral with a visit from Santa.  I love how Peyt totally whispered his wish list to Santa.
and then Drew was all shy about it :)
 and....Kinlee wasn't a fan AT ALL! hahaha
Mr. Drew had his FIRST steak! Peyt is our meat man but Drew thought peyts steak smelled good and said he wanted to try it!
and that was his last bite :) Kinda funny!
We had a little friend party with  our good friends the Edgingtons and Thompsons! They decorated this snowman blindfolded!
Got a doorbell ditch surprise from Santa with some cookies too! They played Bingo and don't eat Pete too! It was fun :)
Then the next morning we had our Ward party! Success it was! Bring your own cereal and they had yummy pancakes too!
K how fun is our Bishop who was playing red light, green light, with the kids!!!
Me and these cute girls were in charge of the cereal and milk pouring! The boys call her the "big Kinley" This is the kids babysitter we always get from the ward, they absolutely love her and Kinlee will go right to her.  She is the only other Kinley we know too! Love her!
 and a visit from Santa!!!

Peyts last basketball game this afternoon!  He loves playing!!!

THEN, last but not least...ending our weekend with our family Party.  Julie always did her Christmas party the Saturday before Christmas.  We wanted to keep the tradition or try.  It was really neat because we received a card from 3 of her really good friends with some money it that they knew Julie would want us to put towards a family gathering and use the $ to put towards the food.  It was so nice.  We are so thankful. and love the time we got together tonight.

 and the rest of us!
 Silly kids!

The most amazing gift this Christmas for all of us.  My friend had a sketch of her brother done similar to these.  I tried contacting a few artists and couldn't get one available to do a sketch.  I started trying in August to get it done.  Finally, I thought to ask my step brother, Brooks if he knew someone. and didn't even think to ask him, but he actually offered to do it.  He did much more than a sketch.  He blessed us with these amazing paintings.  The first one up top is a  pic we had chosen cause we loved it of  Julie.  But then after a distinct impression we had heard about where Julie looked different we immediately asked Brooks if he could do one with Julie in her, well, prime age.  He insisted on completing them both.  We could not be more thankful to Brooks in giving us such an amazing gift that meant more than he will ever know.  I love the paintings and am so thankful for Brooks in creating such an image that brings the exact peace and comfort we know she would want us to feel.  We love and miss her every day but know she doesn't want us to be sad but wants us to be smiling right back as she is.

This Christmas season has been so different this year.  We have been so thankful for all the many kind acts, wonderful experiences and love that we have felt.  WE hope you are enjoying this season and letting the spirit touch you and show you the true meaning of CHRISTmas....
